Are we going to need a bigger boat? No: this was an Egret! Ben's timely advice about the flooding at the Fen was all the excuse I needed to follow the River Yare upstream to Marlingford to try out my newly-refurbished camera on the long-range Great White Egret that has returned for its second year.
Excellent bird! Back-up came in the form of Nuthatch and Treecreeper by the Mill, but no sign of the American Wigeon....
