Just when you thought the Swallowtails had finished.....

.... Brian & I found at least five along Lackford Run, including a displaying mint-fresh pair! The only one that stayed still long enough for a photo-call was this incredibly flak-damaged individual!

Still plenty of Scarce Chasers, as well as dozens of Norfolk, Brown & Southern Hawkers. First for the year at Strumpshaw was this Gatekeeper: above it in the Oak canopy several Purple Hairstreaks flittered about.

At home, one of the Turtles dozed in the Sun on top of one of our feeders: he was there for ages before dropping down to the lawn for a meal and something to drink!
