Not too many birds, as you'd expect, but plenty to keep us occupied: Bittern, Bearded Tit, Little Egret & Adder at Minsmere, (where we got great pictures of a Southern Hawker) and a decent cheese scone!
We moved ahead of the cloud to a 'wood in Suffolk' for great flight views (and eventually perched views!) of at least five Purple Emperors. We also saw Purple Hairstreak, White Admiral, Essex Skipper, Silver-washed Fritillary and several Puss-moth Caterpillars before moving to another wood where we quickly found several White-letter Hairstreaks (and more White Admirals!)
