A narrow escape!

When I was giving my recent talk at Upton, someone asked
"Do you always have a camera with you?"
My answer was:
"Yes - ever since I missed the chance of photographing an eagle over the A47 a couple of years ago!'
Today was a good example of the benefits of this policy: our semi-resident Yellowhammer arrived for an early feed, being totally unobserved by a lurking Sparrowhawk just twenty feet away! I'm glad to say that the raptor departed without realising he'd missed the chance of an exotic meal!
