Scarce Chasers were everywhere along Lackford Run and the riverside: looking a bit tatty now, but still good to see. Lots of Black-tailed Skimmers, Common Darters and Norfolk Hawkers, too. Every Damselfly I examined was an Azure (apart from a few Banded Demoiselles, of course!)
Food-passing Marsh Harriers and juvenile birds were all over the reserve, as were Common Terns and Kingfishers, while two family groups of Bearded Tits patrolled the Lackford Run...
Back home a family of Magpies have taken over the garden: now where have they left the silver?
