International Astronomy Show

Linda and I are recovering after a weekend away at the IAS at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. This annual event brings together most of the UK's amateur astronomers (and many professional ones!) for a two-day festival of lectures, merchandising and socialisation. We were selling our meteorites and silver meteorite jewellery and - despite a lower footfall than usual - we enjoyed the weekend and made a few bob.

Of course birding was on the back-burner, but we saw a few Red Kites and Buzzards on the way there. With a bit of a gap until our next event and the visit of my older birdwatcher brother Rob this week, I'm hoping to catch up with some of the interesting bits and pieces that have recently arrived: let's hope for a Norfolk Sibe Accentor!
